The North American P-51 Mustang is an American single-engine fighter plane of the Second World War. It was manufactured at North American Aviation plants in the USA. It was successfully used by the US Air Force and its allies in the Second World War and the Korean War. A very successful design from 1940 led to the aircraft being continuously developed until 1986! Around 15-16,000 were produced in 46 years. Mustangs. Today, many of these aircraft are privately owned, just like in the movie Top Gun: Maverick™. Mustangs are often used for show flights and sports competitions.
