The E-flite P-51D Mustang 1.0m is a "e;Sport Scale "e; replica of the most popular and legendary allied fighter aircraft of all time! Inspired by the original ParkZone "Ferocious Frankie" and "Gunfighter "e; models, and as a tailwheel alternative to the hugely popular E-flite T-28 1.1m, it was designed from the ground up as a smaller and less expensive alternative to the larger "full-featured" P-51 models, as not everyone wants the complexity of flaps and not all airfields are suitable for retractable landing gear. But it is also larger than smaller Micro and Ultra-Micro models, so it is easier to see and can handle more wind - yet can still be flown in large parks and sports fields, and is easy to transport without disassembly. This makes it a perfect first low-wing, scale and warbird model for pilots with little flying experience who have mastered a trainer model. For experienced pilots, the model is an uncomplicated sport scale recreational plane suitable for everyday use. The BNF Basic version is equipped with the improved AS3X+ technology, which compensates for the effects of wind and turbulence better than ever before, and also has the optional SAFE Select technology, which makes flying even easier! Or you can leave the landing gear off for more airspeed and vertical climb performance with easy hand launches and belly landings on grass. The model is conveniently sized for easy storage and transportation without disassembly - and can therefore be flown on smaller surfaces. Factory-installed digital servos with metal gears provide precise and reliable control at any speed. The propulsion system includes a Spektrum outrunner motor and a telemetry-capable 30A ESC that are compatible with standard 3S and 4S 1300-2200mAh batteries. Experience level 3 - experience required
Experience Level 3 aircraft such as this are suitable for model pilots who already have sufficient experience and the skills to build, program and fly models of a similar class. This PNP model requires more experience to assemble and fly than the BNF Basic version because a receiver must be installed that is not yet pre-programmed with AS3X+ and SAFE Select. Before attempting to fly the P-51D Mustang 1.0m PNP version, you should have the necessary experience to fly trainer models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m or similar class models.

Telemetry capable
The P-51D Mustang 1.0m is equipped with a telemetry-enabled ESC that transmits a variety of real-time telemetry data from the propulsion system during flight, including motor RPM, current, battery voltage and more - with smart and non-smart batteries - via compatible receivers (including AR631) and Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others).

Plug-N-Play® version
The Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes with a factory-installed drive system and servos ready to connect to a compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately) and use with your existing transmitter and battery (also sold separately). Simply install the receiver, complete the final assembly and go fly!

Simple assembly
No glue is required for final assembly and you can have the P-51D Mustang 1.0m ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! And although it's big enough to fit fully assembled in almost any vehicle, you can also remove the one-piece wing, which is equipped with self-connecting servo connectors, to make storage and transportation even easier.

Landing gear options
You can install the included fixed landing gear - with hinged tail wheel at the scale position and landing gear doors indicated - to taxi, take off and land on smooth surfaces. Or you can leave the landing gear off for more airspeed and vertical climb performance and throw the model and land on grass. Hand launch is facilitated by the automatic hand launch assist mode (BNF Basic version only).
