• This means extremely improved cooling and therefore cooler operating temperatures.

The Scorpion "HK5 - Series"
The motor is like a tractor, offering the highest torque in its weight class, with an effective single wire winding that allows increased airflow with the new sheet metal cut.
The HK5 series is also hand wound again, so you get the highest performance possible.
The HK5 series meets and exceeds our demands for the most powerful and efficient motors with market-leading torque-per-amp performance. In addition, we have focused specifically on motor cooling and motor temperature in the HK5 series. With a completely new internal fan design combined with our proven external radial fan, we have almost doubled the amount of airflow through the motor. The result is significantly improved cooling and lower operating temperatures.
The HK5-5024-475kv is primarily designed for helicopters in the High Power 700 class. With the larger stator diameter, it offers more torque and more power at the same weight compared to the previous HKII-4530-540kv engine.
