Introduction

Even if you've never flown a remote control airplane before, the Carbon Cub S 2 is the most versatile, durable, and easiest to fly scale RC airplane! Based on CubCrafters' Carbon Cub, an upgraded and highly modernized version of the classic Super Cub, and equipped with Horizon Hobby's exclusive and innovative SAFE technology, this scale model allows almost anyone to learn to fly successfully. The durable airframe is equipped with an efficient brushless motor, telemetry capable controller, and flight controller, receiver and servos. Bipod landing gear with oversized "Tundra" wheels and a steerable tail wheel make it even easier to take off and land on a variety of surfaces. Optional floats (sold separately) can be mounted for takeoffs and landings on water. Best of all, with the option to install GPS-assisted SAFE Plus® technology and landing assist sensor ( LAS), learning to fly can be even easier!

The HobbyZone® Carbon Cub S 2 is the easiest to fly, most durable and versatile scale RC airplane ever! It features exclusive SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology that eliminates oversteer, loss of orientation and crashes, so almost anyone can learn to fly successfully. With Beginner, Advanced and Expert modes, you can select the stability and control you need or want to try at the touch of a button. The panic button lets you instantly return to a neutral flight attitude with the push of a button in any flight mode. Oversized tires allow you to take off and land on a variety of surfaces, including tall grass, gravel paths, dirt tracks and smooth asphalt, or you can install the optional floats to fly off water - which also adds to the model's unmatched versatility.

The Carbon Cub S 2 is equipped with a telemetry-enabled 30-amp controller that provides a variety of real-time telemetry data from the propulsion system, including motor speed, current, battery voltage and more for compatible Spektrum ™ AirWare ™ transmitters. Even the DXS transmitter included in the RTF Basic version can display approximate remaining flight battery power via the multi-color LEDs. You also have the option to easily upgrade the model to GPS-enabled SAFE Plus technology for AutoLand and Virtual Fence features, as well as install the Landing Assist Sensor (LAS), which automatically "floats out" for smoother landings to make learning to fly - and land safely - easier than ever before!

The Ready-To-Fly (RTF) Basic version includes everything needed to fly except for the battery and charger. This way you can choose a convenient and money-saving Spektrum™ Powerstage bundle or your own separate battery and charger! Plus, the included Spektrum DXS 2.4 GHz transmitter can be used with other Bind-N-Fly® (BNF) and BNF Basic aircraft after you learn to fly! A BNF Basic version is also available for experienced pilots who want to use their favorite Spektrum transmitter along with an existing battery and charger. Both versions feature the powerful and efficient brushless drive system (including a telemetry-enabled controller), a flight controller and receiver and servos factory-installed in the durable EPO airframe, which is quick and easy to assemble without glue or special tools.

And the fun doesn't stop after you learn to fly! In expert mode, the Carbon Cub S 2 is capable of aerobatic maneuvers, including loops, rolls, inverted flight and more. You can even use the DXS transmitter included with the RTF Basic version, along with the same battery and charger you use for the Carbon Cub, to fly a variety of BNF-Basic aircraft. These include, for example, the E-flite® T- 28 Trojan 1.1m and the Valiant 1.3m.

You can also purchase the RealFlight® Trainer Edition flight simulator and a Spektrum WS2000 wireless simulator dongle (both sold separately) to fly this and other models with the transmitter included in the RTF Basic version! The simulator features most popular Horizon Hobby® trainer models and built-in Virtual Flight Instructor lessons. This helps aspiring pilots successfully learn to fly by training on a home PC or laptop!
