For three decades, the original Extra airplanes have offered incredible aerobatic performance with virtually unlimited potential. Variants of it have been flown to first place in a long list of competitions, including the recent World Championships. That's why Jim Bourke - the founder of RCGroups.com and owner of Knife Edge Software, the company that originally developed the RealFlight RC simulator - flies an Extra 330SC at air shows and competitions around the world. The E-flite® Extra 330SC 3D 1.3m is a replica of Jim's aircraft in his unique and iconic color scheme. It is an updated and improved version of the Extra 300 3D 1.3m that offers advanced to experienced pilots incredible aerobatic and 3D flight characteristics. It features metal geared digital servos and a 3S and 4S compatible power system that now includes an 85A Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC. The BNF Basic version is also equipped with an AR631 receiver that provides real-time telemetry data and, of course, AS3X and SAFE Select to make flying easier!

The E-flite Extra 330SC 3D 1.3m offers almost unlimited aerobatic and 3D potential - even more than the original airplane! It's a replica of the plane Jim Bourke flies at air shows and competitions around the world, including its unique and highly visible color scheme. It is also an updated and improved version of the Extra 300 3D 1.3m, which features a larger fuselage cover with plastic surround to prevent paint chipping while facilitating battery swapping of the 3S or 4S 2200 mAh to 3200 mAh batteries. The reinforced motor mount better secures the brushless outrunner motor, which is equipped with a lightweight wooden propeller to deliver excellent thrust and vertical climb performance. Throttle response is extra direct thanks to the upgraded 85A Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC. The fully molded EPO airframe is composite-reinforced for an excellent combination of stiffness and durability while remaining lightweight. And the wire-frame landing gear has been replaced with a stronger aluminum landing gear to make it even more durable! Plus, fast and precise factory-installed digital servos with metal gears and ball linkages drive the oversized control surfaces to deliver incredible 3D flight characteristics with precise control surface action. Experience Level 2 - Some experience required
Experience Level 2 aircraft such as this are suitable for model pilots who already have some experience and the skills to build, program and fly similar class models. And while this is the easiest Extra to fly to date, it is neither a suitable first model airplane for beginners nor a "next step after a trainer" model for modelers with little flying experience. Before attempting to fly the Extra 330SC 3D 1.3m, you should have the experience required to fly aerobatic models such as the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Timber X 1.2m, Decathlon RJG 1.2m, Commander mPd 1.4m or similar class models.

Smart technology
The exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart Lite ESC provides a variety of real-time, in-flight telemetry data from the propulsion system, including total battery voltage, current draw, motor RPM and more - with both Smart and non-Smart batteries - via compatible receivers (including AR631) and Spektrum AirWare-equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others).

Plenty of power
The included brushless power system features an 85A Smart Lite ESC and an outrunner motor with a lightweight wooden propeller that delivers plenty of prototypical power with 3S batteries or unlimited vertical climb power with 4S 2200-3200mAh batteries. In addition, the motor mount has been reinforced to withstand any possible stress in flight.

The lightweight yet durable composite fiber-reinforced EPO material construction ensures the best possible flight performance, while the factory-installed digital servos with metal gears via ball linkages provide precise control of the oversized control surfaces for even the most aggressive 3D maneuvers.
