Introduction

Inspired by similar 'stick' models from the past and based on the more modern design of the Ultra Stick models, the Slow Ultra Stick is a slow flyer that offers a wider range of flying fun than almost any other model available! Use a 2S battery for slow cruising in gyms and other suitable spaces, many yards, most parks and sports fields ? and to perform basic aerobatic maneuvers such as loops, rolls and inverted flight. Or use a 3S 1300?2200 mAh battery for aggressive maneuvers and torquing, made possible by the stiff and fully molded EPO tail and semi-symmetrical airfoil wing. You can even install a second aileron servo to additionally use the ailerons as flaperons or spoilers. The Slow Ultra Stick is simple but extremely powerful and incredibly easy to fly for beginners looking for a second model after a trainer. Experienced pilots looking for a model that offers a smooth flying experience from slow to aerobatics will find that these flight characteristics can hardly be achieved with any other model.

Overview

The E-flite® Slow Ultra Stick 1.2 m is based on the more modern design of the Ultra Stick models, but is inspired by classic 'stick' models from the past. In the early 2000s, slow-flying stick models took the market by storm because they were affordable and easy to fly. But they often took many hours to assemble with glue and tape, and often required significant modifications to squeeze out more performance. The Slow Ultra Stick combines the advantages of these stick models with modern manufacturing techniques, features and power and comes with a fully molded tail and main wing with a semi-symmetrical airfoil and ailerons included. It also features a 2S and 3S compatible brushless power system, including an exclusive Spektrum Avian Smart ESC. It is also equipped with an AR630 receiver to provide real-time telemetry data along with AS3X and SAFE Select. It is capable of slow and easy cruising, sport flying and even aggressive aerobatics ? all in the same flight ? to provide a unique, versatile flying experience unlike any other model available today. This makes it possible to fly indoors in gyms and similar spaces, as well as outdoors in yards, parks, sports fields and model airfields, making it a versatile addition to almost any pilot's hangar! Best of all, unlike similar stick models in the past that were only available as kits or ARFs, the Slow Ultra Stick comes mostly factory assembled - with the power system, servos and receiver installed. All you need to do is a quick simple final screw-fit of the parts ? without glue, tape or special tools ? and you're ready to fly in less time than it takes to charge a battery! And although it's a convenient size so it can be stored and transported without disassembly, it can be quickly disassembled with two thumbscrews when even easier storage and space-saving transportation is required.

Already own a Spektrum ™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) airplanes allow you to get in the air faster than ever before. They come with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4 GHz receiver installed. So all you have to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, complete the final assembly and you're ready to fly!

The Slow Ultra Stick 1.2m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum™ Avian™ Smart Lite ESC that transmits a variety of real-time telemetry data from the propulsion system, including motor speed, current, battery voltage and more ? with Smart and non-Smart batteries ? via compatible receivers (including AR630) and Spektrum AirWare™ equipped transmitters (including DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, DX9, NX6, 8 and 10, iX12, iX14, iX20 and others ).


Exclusive technologies
This Slow Ultra Stick is equipped with the exclusive Spektrum™ AS3X® and SAFE® Select technologies. AS3X works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence to deliver a locked-in feel that makes it seem like you're flying a much larger airplane. The optional SAFE Select offers bank angle limits as well as automatic self-leveling that can be turned on and off at the touch of a button to make flying easier!

The factory-installed brushless outrunner motor is 2S and 3S compatible and offers tame to unbridled performance ? for slow cruising to maximize flight time with 2S batteries to torquing and even unlimited vertical climb performance with 3S batteries!


Durable design
