Precision aluminum, durable steel and composite materials make for an easy-to-maintain, ultra-tough vehicle design that has now been further enhanced to boost the already impressive performance and durability of the original short course truck.
The SENTON™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR is DESIGNED FAST, DESIGNED TOUGH - built for thrilling bashing speeds and extreme, off-road durability. New features that enhance its unstoppable performance include a stronger chassis and retained hinge pin plates, steering with more clearance for rocks, a molded skid plate and sliding gear transmission, and rubber-protected bearings throughout.
It is also now equipped with a Spektrum™ SLT3™ transmitter and SLR300 receiver. The transmitter is ergonomically designed for long, fatigue-free bashing and features a foam wheel for precise fingertip control as well as an improved hand grip and trigger feel. New bashers can set the throttle limit to 50% or 75% until they are ready to use the full speed potential. The SLT3™ is compatible with Tactic® SLT™ receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own and has a third channel to control optional features like lights and winches on models that have them.
ARRMA® now powers the SENTON™ 4X4 3S BLX with a brushless system that includes the BLX100 ESC and Spektrum™ Firma™ 3200Kv brushless motor. This combination provides incredible torque, acceleration and speed. The gearbox and chassis are robustly designed to fully utilize the power of the electronics.
The ingenious modular design, perfected by ARRMA® engineers, allows easy access to the components and their maintenance. The power module with improved dirt management consists of the motor with ARRMA® heat sink and fan, the motor plate, the slip clutch and the gearbox cover. The power module can be removed from the chassis as a complete unit with just one screw. Once the power module is removed, the slipping clutch can be easily adjusted by loosening three screws that secure the gearbox cover. The gear ratio can be fine-tuned as the power module now uses a sliding motor engagement design.
A two-piece molding bolted to the chassis of the truck serves as the electronics module, which includes a waterproof receiver box, servo mount and ESC compartment. The SLR300 receiver is mounted in the receiver box to protect it from dirt and moisture. The ultra-compact ESC is screwed to the top of the module and allows quick access to the on/off switch, while the servo is attached to the side. All three components can be removed together quickly and easily.
The differential module houses each differential unit in an innovative yoke design. Only eight screws need to be removed to release the front and rear yokes. The power module can then be removed, allowing you to pivot the transmission cases for access to the differential. The SENTON™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR comes brushless with 37T 1.35mod differentials with silicone O-rings. The large gears can withstand tremendous torque, and the internal metal gears have been selected for high reliability under extreme bashing.
The full-time 4WD transmission uses strong front, rear and center telescopic driveshafts that, unlike dogbones, cannot be lost in heavy impacts. Simple, reliable and responsive steering complements the ultra-reliable drive system and features a servo horn with built-in servo saver. The SENTON™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR includes the waterproof Spektrum™ SPMS651 digital servo with metal gears for 15% more torque than the previous version's ADS-7M servo.
The self-bleeding, oil-filled shocks, now with silicone O-rings, use a proven coil-over design for easy maintenance and amazing handling. Their innovative linkage features a molded-in spring plate for added durability. High mud flaps and a close-fitting body limit the amount of dirt and debris that can enter the chassis tub. Front and rear bumpers provide protection against impacts.
Rugged, gunmetal-colored multi-spoke wheels with ventilated dBoots® Fortress™ SC tires give the 1/10th scale SENTON™ 4X4 3S BLX RTR Short Course Truck effective traction for bashing on almost any terrain.
