Description
The Spektrum AR631+ AS3X+ telemetry receiver is a DSM2 and DSMX capable receiver. Its compact footprint is designed to fit a variety of aircraft models, including park flyers and larger sport models. The AR631+ is a 6-channel full-range receiver with built-in AS3X+ and SAFE stabilization that compensates for the effects of wind, turbulence and torque using a 3-axis MEMS gyro and exclusive flight control software tuned by experienced RC pilots. There are no control delays or limitations on control deflections. You'll simply feel like you're flying an expert-tuned model that does exactly what you want it to do.

The AR631+ features fly-by-range telemetry and a bind button that simplifies unplugged binding, and offers both SmartSafe technology and hold load as well as preset failsafe types set by forward programming. A long 230mm 2.4gHz antenna, perfect for optimal reception in tight spaces. The AR631+ also supports Smart Telemetry.
With Smart technology, the normal servo port provides the throttle signal to the ESC, and the ESC can send telemetry data such as voltage and current back to the receiver. The throttle channel of the AR631+ receiver (channel 1 only) automatically recognizes when a Smart-compatible controller is connected. ESCs with Smart and IC series connectors can also relay battery data from compatible Spektrum Smart batteries. Spektrum Avian™ ESCs are compatible with the AR631+ receiver for Smart technology functions.
For Smart to work, a Smart ESC must be paired with a Smart telemetry receiver and a Spektrum DSMX transmitter with telemetry. An update to your transmitter may be required for Smart features. Visit spektrum.com to register and update your transmitter. When a standard ESC or servo is plugged into the throttle port of the AR631+ receiver, the throttle port will operate normally (PWM signal) like any conventional RC system.
Please note: These transmitters do not support forward programming devices: DX6i, DX6G2 (EU version), DX7, DX7S, DX7SE, DX7G2 (EU version), DX8, non-computer transmitters
The use of this receiver in turbine-powered model aircraft is not recommended.
AS3X+® technology

SAFE® Technology
SAFE® (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) technology flight modes help pilots avoid over-controlling their models. SAFE uses AS3X+ to deliver normal flight performance, but with limited bank and pitch angles to prevent the aircraft from getting into extreme attitudes.
Long 230mm 2.4GHz antenna
The AR631+ has an extra long 230mm 2.4ghz antenna (approx. 9 inches), specially designed for use in tight installations. When installing the receiver in an aircraft where there is less than ideal space for batteries and other equipment, a long antenna is key. This allows you to install the receiver in tight spaces and isolate the antenna for optimal reception and connection quality. When positioning the antenna, make sure that it is at least 75 mm away from batteries, electronic speed controllers (ESC), ignition systems and other electronic devices. Use the integrated flight book telemetry to perform a range test to better assess your setup.
Forward programming
You can configure the AR631+ receiver wirelessly, directly from any compatible Spektrum™ transmitter, using the Forward Programming menu. No separate computer or mobile device is required for setup and customization.
Smart Telemetry
To take full advantage of Smart™ technology, use the AR631+ receiver with a Smart ESC and a telemetry-enabled Spektrum DSMX® transmitter. The AR631+ features fly-by telemetry and sends important telemetry data such as current, voltage, temperature and RPM directly to your transmitter.
