That's exactly how it feels to ride a Losi Promoto RC motorcycle.

The Losi Promoto-MX was the first RC motocross to accurately reproduce the full experience and pure fun of riding a real motorcycle. Now Losi presents the Promoto-SM (SM = Supermoto) for the road for model sports fans and motorcycle enthusiasts - the most authentic Supermoto experience ever offered with a remote-controlled motorcycle.

The Promoto-SM is particularly suitable for concrete, asphalt, gravel and other hard surfaces in residential streets, parks and parking lots. The main differences to the Promoto-MX include the new Pro-Line Racing OE (Original Equipment) SM road tires on smaller rims, a more powerful front brake caliper and revised crash bar rollers. The Promoto-SM can lean more than its motocross counterpart, and the crash bar rollers reduce noise and provide better traction on hard surfaces.

The Losi Promoto-SM also looks like a real supermoto bike. Its distinctive visual details include handguards, a shortened front fender and officially licensed FXR graphics and rider gear.

What the Promoto-SM has in common with the groundbreaking Promoto-MX is an innovative blend of mechanical and electronic technology tuned together to provide a realistic riding experience that no other RC bike can match. The electronics include a 2700 kV motor and a steel flywheel, both mounted in the center of the frame. The motor spins the flywheel at over 22,000 rpm to generate gyroscopic force for unprecedented stability. Patent-pending Spektrum MS6X technology receives your control inputs from the Spektrum DX3PM transmitter and directs the Promoto-SM to lean, corner and perform wheelies with unprecedented balance and finesse.

The mechanical technology is equally impressive. The Losi product development team studied the suspension geometry of full-size motorcycles to give Promoto RC bikes the same ride characteristics. A progressive rear suspension offers superior grip and prevents bottoming out on jumps. Its all-new front fork design with an internal spring and damper can be tuned by replacing the silicone damping fluid and also allows for ride height adjustment. An innovative braking system for front and rear wheel provides impressive braking power and halves the braking distance compared to using only the rear brake.

Both technologies, electronic and mechanical, are the reason why the Promoto platform performs better at high and low speeds than any previous RC motorcycle. With the Losi Promoto-SM, there is now an RC bike that really works - with asphalt-ready performance and supermoto style!

NARROW FRAME
To achieve the right prototypical look, the bike's electronics and battery had to fit into a compact, narrow frame. The need for a special "e;Shorty" e;battery would have simplified the design task, but the Promoto-SM development team wanted to use a more practical standard size battery. Mission accomplished! A full-size 2S hardcase LiPo fits in the rider's seat and is easily accessible for a quick battery swap. Insert a charged battery and you're back in the race in seconds.

REALISTIC DRIVER FIGURE
The rider figures of other RC motorcycles are made entirely of foam, which fails quickly. Promoto riders have a rubberized plastic exterior that can flex and bend in the event of bumps and rollovers. To prevent the rider from wobbling around on the bike, the upper body has a foam insert. It holds the body firmly in place during normal operation, but can give way in the event of impacts. With his updated equipment, the Promoto SM rider looks like he's ready for aggressive racing action on the road!

PRO-LINE RACING OE (ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT) SUPERMOTO STREET TIRES
The Promoto-SM is equipped with new Pro-Line Racing OE (Original Equipment) Supermoto street tires. The Supermoto tires not only complement the prototypical appearance of the motorcycle, but are also specially designed for the special wear and traction requirements of Supermoto road racing.

EXHIBITION/MAINTENANCE AND STARTING STAND
Working on a real bike is easier with a real bike stand. So the Promoto-SM had to have one too! The supplied stand for maintenance and display is modeled after a real motorcycle stand and is fully decorated. To keep the bike balanced on the stand, the Promoto-SM can be locked into the mounting stand. To go one step further, a starting stand for a hands-free start is also included in the scope of delivery. This kickstand supports the rear tire and keeps the bike upright and ready for a start like from the starting gate.

REAL SPOKED RIMS
Before Losi introduced the Promoto platform, no other manufacturer was able to produce good looking spoked wheels with the durability required for an RC bike. Achieving this required the determination and expertise of the Losi development team. On the Promoto-SM, the realistic rims with real spokes are smaller and match the look of real street bikes.

GLUED-ON FAIRING PARTS
Big or small, no supermoto would look good without a properly covered fairing kit. The Promoto-SM has it all - front fender, race number plate, fork protectors, front side fairing, rear side fairing and a rear fender - all come freshly wrapped with officially licensed vinyl decals but extremely durable.

REALISTIC DETAILS
Even small details are important, and Losi hasn't overlooked anything. Exhaust, brake line, footpegs, brake disks and much more. The Promoto-SM also includes handguards modeled after those found on full-size Supermoto motorcycles to protect the brake and clutch levers in the event of a crash.

REAR MUDGUARD
Wheelies happen. A normal, rigidly mounted rear mudguard would really take a beating. But the Promoto-SM has the solution - a folding rear fender with a spring that can fold away during wheelies to reveal a tough nylon bumper. This significantly increases the durability of the rear mudguard.

FRONT CRASH STRUCTURE
The front crash structure of the Promoto-SM is rigid during normal riding, but can be compressed until the front tire rests against the frame to absorb frontal impacts. This protects the front fork tubes from bending and keeps them safe and straight.

SKID PLATES AND VENTS
Injection molded skid plates line the front and bottom of the Promoto SM frame. They provide protection in the event of accidents and keep dirt away from the frame, helping to protect the electronics mounted inside. The vents on each side of the bike are closed as supplied, but can be opened to provide cooling airflow in high ambient temperatures.

FRAME MADE FROM TWO ALUMINUM PLATES
Two aluminum frame plates house and protect all of the bike's electronics and give the Promoto-SM its realistically slim look. They also give the frame the necessary rigidity and durability for hard impacts.

FRONT FORK
The front fork of the Promoto-MX is a completely new and modern design with internal spring and damper. The fork tubes are designed to work in a similar way to normal RC shocks and can be modified and tuned by changing the silicone damping fluid. The ride height of the Promoto-MX can also be adjusted with spacers by means of opposing upper and lower springs. And perhaps most importantly, the fork looks fantastic - just like the original.

PROGRESSIVE REAR SUSPENSION
Just like a real bike, the Promoto-SM has progressive rear suspension. The suspension starts off soft, ensuring smooth handling and excellent grip. As the suspension compresses, it becomes firmer to provide the right amount of preload on jumps and prevent bottoming out on landings. Equipped with an oil-filled shock absorber, the Promoto-SM is ready for any hard track.

BRUSHLESS DRIVE SYSTEM
The Promoto-SM comes straight out of the box with a powerful brushless Spektrum Smart drive system. Its 4-pole 3652-3800 kV motor provides plenty of power, while the brushless 85A controller provides the necessary control. With a top speed of over 65 km/h with a 2S LiPo battery - the Promoto MX drive system really packs a punch!

STEERING HEAD ANGLE
After months of testing different trail settings, steering head angles and steering throw, the Promoto-SM development team found the ideal value. A steering head angle of 62.4 degrees ensures the best balance between grip, landings, steering control and the prevention of "e;handlebar flutter" on all surfaces.

SLIPPER CLUTCH - RACE INSPIRED
While the 3800 kV firm brushless motor puts out plenty of power, the Promoto-SM's RACE-INSPIRED double-disc slipper clutch ensures that the rear tire maintains traction. The spring-loaded slipper clutch with two pads is based on the slipper clutches used by the TLR team to win races around the world. This increases traction and protects the drivetrain without sacrificing explosive propulsion.

FRONT CABLE-OPERATED DISC BRAKE
Good brakes make riding even more fun. The engine takes over the rear wheel braking via the drivetrain, but as with the prototypes, most of the braking effect is achieved via the front wheel. To brake the Promoto-SM at the front, a steel disk with brake pads and a brake calliper are used, which are actuated by a servo via a cable. This shortens the braking distance by half - so that you can hit the next bend perfectly.

REALISTIC CHAIN DRIVE
We couldn't call the Promoto-SM a supermoto if it didn't have a chain drive. Steel links and 70 roller pins enclose a 10-tooth steel sprocket and a 36-tooth aluminum sprocket. Regardless of the conditions, the chain drive propels the rear tire efficiently and reliably.

The Losi Promoto-MX is supplied fully assembled. A high-quality Spektrum Smart remote control system is also included and the on-board electronics are already installed. A 2S LiPo battery with IC5 connector and a convenient Smart USB charger as well as AA transmitter batteries are included.
