Since its first appearance on the RC rock crawling scene, the Base Camp has been a favorite of both budget-conscious beginners and experienced crawling fans. Portal axles give the vehicle sufficient ground clearance for easy off-road maneuvering. With the LCXU all-wheel drive, you can easily switch to standard axles if required. It has all-metal gears and ball bearings all round for impressive durability.
Based on the proven Axial SCX10 III platform, the Base Camp is equally at home crawling rocks and ledges as it is crawling a trail back to camp. Its optimized suspension, adjustable oil pressure shocks and solid drivetrain contribute to unstoppable crawling performance. The Base Camp now also features a host of new accessories for an enhanced look. A snorkel, half cage, functional storage case, rock sliders, side mirrors and door handles increase the prototype fidelity for more excitement on the trails.

SCX10™ III STEEL C-PROFILE CHASSIS
The rigidity of the SCX10™ III Base Camp 4WD's C-section chassis reduces deflection of the ladder frame and increases the precision of suspension movement.

AR45 PORTAL AXLES
The included AR45 portal axles provide additional ground clearance at the differential for easier off-road maneuvering.

LCXU TRANSMISSION
Equipped with a powerful single-speed LCXU transmission, the SCX10™ III Base Camp 4WD has a low center of gravity for stability on tracks and trails. The transmission also includes a full set of ball bearings and all-metal gears for stability and durability. The internal gearing can be converted to allow the use of our optional Standard Axle Conversion Kit (AXI238000).

STYLISH TRUCK BODY WITH SCALE ACCESSORIES
The factory painted and detailed, durable polycarbonate Base Camp body offers an exciting, modern truck look. Officially licensed Demello off-road bumpers with high ground clearance add even more realism.

ROCK SLIDERS
Rugged rock sliders enhance both looks and crawl performance by not only protecting the body and chassis, but also helping the Base Camp glide over obstacles.

OPTIMIZED SUSPENSION GEOMETRY
The SCX10™ III Base Camp 4WD's front suspension geometry is optimized to reduce bump steer, while the rear 4-link suspension reduces twist.

ADJUSTABLE ALUMINUM SHOCKS
The oil-filled aluminum shocks have threaded shafts and a coil spring. The shock absorbers are tunable to achieve the best damping rate. The enlarged bore also allows more fluid volume for better damping.

SEALED RECEIVER BOX
The sealed receiver box resists the elements and protects the Spektrum 5-channel SR515 DSMR receiver.

OFFICIALLY LICENSED WHEELS AND TIRES
Tall, officially licensed Falken Wildpeak tires provide good ground clearance and secure grip on dirt, rocks and all other off-road surfaces. They are mounted on officially licensed, one-piece Black Rhino rims to further emphasize the scale look.

INSTALLED DRIVE SYSTEM
The included and installed drive system includes an Axial Slickrock 35T brushed motor and a waterproof Spektrum 40A brushed ESC. With this simple and reliable combination, you'll spend more time on the trails and less time on maintenance.

SPEKTRUM™ SLT3 REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM
The included SLT3 3-channel remote control with SR315 dual protocol receiver provides a reliable SLT 2.4GHz connection and DSMR® upgrade capability for future modifications. Driver-adjustable features include steering and throttle trim, steering rate and throttle travel limits. The transmitter's foam-covered steering wheel provides non-slip control.
